REFORMA. The National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking-REFORMA, established in 1971 as an affiliate of the American Library Association (ALA), is committed to the improvement of the full spectrum of library and information services for Hispanic Americans.

MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan). Main purpose is to educate "nuestra gente (our people) about our history and culture." As the official voice of Chicano/a students at the University of Oregon; MEChA's main objective is to provide a feeling of community and security, while increasing the recruitment and retention of Oregon Chicanos/as.
